My real estate career spans over three decades, and began in the affluent suburbs of Chicago in 1978, where I successfully listed and sold high-end homes, while consistently named a top producer for several boutique real estate companies. In 1986, my focus shifted into the Residential Appraisal profession, where I obtained the prestigious SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute, and was soon appointed to Chief Operating Officer for a large appraisal firm. In 1992, I established MJ Roney & Associates, founded Safe House Home Inspection Services in 1994, and built these successful businesses from the ground up. In 1998, I conveyed the title of CEO to succeeding management in order to return to real estate marketing and sales in Marin County. My management and entrepreneurial experience, extensive knowledge of real estate principles and the "Marin Marketplace", and seasoned negotiation skills have given me an edge as a Realtor, while instilling trust and confidence in the buyers and sellers, with whom I have successfully worked with.
